Your eyesight is fine; Just rebuilding the Categories Sidebar!

Please excuse the sidebar image mess. I'm in the process of speeding up the site and started to change how I load my images. I will no longer bring images from the server one by one but instead will use a background image shifting technique. I will finish up by this weekend when I get the time and will also blog about this technique that cuts down on loading times. Here's an example image file from Amazon, a well-known site on the web that uses this same technique. Notice how they've put many different images in the same file.

The beginner HTML/CSS tutorial will be continuing as well. I also have an advanced tutorial coming up. It's a technique to plot colorful bar graphs using only CSS and HTML. I've worked out a version that's a lot more flexible than what we usually see in CSS-based graphs. The graphics look great too with three dimensional looking bars. I will do a mini Photoshop tutorial to teach you how to achieve the look. Have a great weekend!
